Italian School Holidays in Rome & the Lazio Provinces

The school calendar for Lazio: when schools of Roma, Frosinone, Viterbo, Rieti and Latina close for vacations and the children are on holiday. The calendar includes the dates of summer holidays, the Christmas break and the easter holiday in Rome.

The duration of the school year ranges from 891 to 1320 hours over 33 weeks, from September to June. The academic year is divided into either two or three terms, from September to January and January to June, or September to January, January to March and March to June. There are vacation breaks at Christmas, Easter and other local and national days as appropriate. The school calendar is set every year on a regional level.

Christmas Break (vacanze Natalizie) 22 December 2009 - 7 January 2010  
Easter Break (vacanze Pasquali) 27 march - 7 April 2010
School year ends  12 June 2010 
30 June 2010 (infant/nursery schools)

The dates above indicate the final day of school and the day classes resume for a new term.
